Womans communication with shaikh

My wife is thinking of getting Bay’at to a Shaykh. A reliable Debondi Aalim who is also my Shaykh.
My question is that if my wife’s Istikharah is in the affirmative, how does the woman become Bay’ at and how does the communication take place between the Shaykh and any other etiquettes.
My inclination is that communication should be through me. Please could you provide details in the various aspects?

It is 'Mustahab' to take 'Bay'at'. Generally the permissable method is that the Shaykh is behind the curtain and by verbal communication the 'bayat' takes place, at times a rope, string, folded cloth is used to create a 'link' between the Shaykh and female 'mureed'. She can either communicate via you or in the presence of you.
