When performing the second to the eighth Istilaam

When performing the second to the eigth Istilaam (inclusive) of the Hajre Aswad during Tawaaf, should one face the Hajre Aswad, (hence turning the chest towards the Kaabaah, which, according to some scholars, nullifies that particular Shawt), or make these Istilaam sideways, (hence not having to turn the chest towards the Kaabaah)?
