What Duaa should be read before entering the home?

As Salaamu Alaykum
Please can you advise me on what to recite before entering the home . The reason is that my mon stays with us and everday without a doubt her face is pulled up when she sees my wife and i . I am the only son and maintains the household .
Going home after work is now a nightmare beause we are not sure if there is going to be a fight or argument . From an islamic point is it permissable to only see to her daily needs and only comunicate with her if need be .
