Wearing ihram

salaams muftisaab. i need clearity regarding the following:
my father passed away in january this year but before he passed away he asked me to promise that i will perform his haj.shukr i have been acrredited & will perform haj this year.i need clarity regarding the haj that i will perfrom ie tammattu or irfaad, from where do i wear my ihraam as i will be flying to Egypt, then staying in medina for 10 days & then leave for mecca. my wife will be with me during the haj so when i leave medina do i still perform the umrah.
does the dam-e-shukr apply to me as well.

Firstly you should know whether you are performing Hajj Badal or Nafl Hajj on his Behalf.
In both cases you are allowed to perform any type of Hajj - Better in your case Tammattu. You will adorm Ihraam from Madinah.
One Damm-e-Shukr is sifficient and no separate one for you.
