use sadaka funds to purchase textbooks

As-Salaamu Alaikum
We have recently revived the Madrassah in our town. We have decided to adopt the Jamiat Tasheel series syllabus. However we do not have sufficient funds to purchase textbooks for the children.
Is it permissable to use sadaka funds to purchase textbooks for the children in the Madrassah?
Is it permissable to use sadaka funds to purchase Islamic Reading books to create a library section?

1) If the children are poor then you can use Zakaat to purchase the books and give the children.

2) You can give Zakaat to a deserving person who then purchases same.
However by 'Sadaka' do you mean funds set aside for the poor like Zakaat or Nafl Sadaqah. If it is Nafl then you can use as Lillaah.
