Use of interest

I had to recently resign from my employment. Unfortunately, my employer has as yet not paid the amounts due to me.. As a consequence, I have had to engage the services of a Labour Lawyer to try and get the employer to pay what is due to me.

As per the legislation, interest (which is Haraam in Islam) is due to the employee from the time the claim is registered with the employer. Is it permissible to pay the lawyer from the interest portion for the services rendered?
