If one knows at the date of calculating Zakat that on the profit one made in his business he will be liable for a certain percentage to be paid as taxes, can one regard this taxes to be payable in future to be a liability for Zakat purposes? The tax return will still have to be submitted at a future date and SARS will still have to assess the calculation of the taxes and only once SARS has done an assessment will the business have to pay the taxes due.
