In 2007 I lost my house.
1. Because I was unemployed.
2. I was afraid of taking a loan with interest. This year,2014, I started a business with a grant/zakat money. To grow the business I need funding/finance. I approached a few islamic institutions for an interest free loan. Eg. al baraka require a mortgage to qualify for a loan. Do I let go like I did with the house or can I take a loan with interest? By the way, after loosing the house I went back to my mother’s house as she is aging and needed care. I am the only muslim in the family. I depended on her to help her. Instead I should be providing. I am 59. Please advise.
