Shares bought for children

My father has paid shares for his 4 girls and 1 son during his lifetime.After he passes away must the shares be distributed equally or can it go all to his wife.
Or must it be distributed according shariah during his lifetime as well as after his lifetime.

Private answer

The distribution is not compulsory as the distribution which is done on death. In his lifetime he may give any amount to anyone. This on demise the law of Shariaat with its automatic share distribution system.
