seeing nabi(s.a.w) in a dream

Assalam Wa Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatu Respected Mufti
I have heard that when a person dreams of Nabi (S.A.W), he/she is really seeing our rasool as shaitaan cannot take his form. Just before fajr, i dream of Nabi (S.A.W). I was travelling to the Haram with a small group of people and one of them was Nabi (S.A.W) here in todays time but in my dream, i wasnt sure if it really was him as i recalled that Nabi (S.A.W) lived o long time ago and i didnt think he could be back in todays time so i decided that i would neither say it is not our prophet nor would i say it is. I decided that Allah knows.
Did i really see Nabi (S.A.W) in a dream?
