Assalaamu’alaiykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuhu,

With regards to the Rainbow Chickens issue, I agree with your’s and the Majlis view to abstain as the process is completely un-Islamic. My concern is this, many people in our families have full trust in SANHA. From an Islamic perspective, when eating at the homes of our families, do we have to ask them whether they use commercially slaughtered chickens before eating or should we trust them on the basis that they are Muslim? Another concern that I have is regarding butchers. Are the same mal-practices taking place on the steak, mutton and other meat sold by butchers? If so, what would you suggest as an alternative, or do you perhaps know of an alternative.

You as a Muslim are fully entitled to ask the Cafe, home etc. where the Chickens are sourced from and act accordingly.

My research is not up to speed yet.
