Polygomy and Islam

Question ID: 37911

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh respected mufti.
Would living with several wifes in one single apartment be permissible in the following way? Example:
Each wife has one personal/private room which she can lock with a key and in which she can organize things as she wishes. Each wife has her own bed, own wardrobe and other personal belongings inside her room.
The Living room used for family gatherings (e.g. eating or children ta’leem), Bath room and Kitchen room including kitchen utensils and things like washing machine, dish cleaner, etc. are all shared.
Would this be permissible?
3) Concerning the before mentioned example, is it obligatory that each wife’s personal/private room is exactly the same in size?
4) What are the basic/fundamental requirements/obligations on a husband who practices or wants to practice polygyny?
5) What is the legal status of polygyny in the Hanafi madh’hab? Is it considered mubah or recommended (mustahab)? Is it considered virtuous?
6) Are there any general advices or Islamic book titles you could share for brothers and sisters who are interested in practicing polygyny?
Jazak Allahu khayran for your help respected Mufti.

It is best to give each their own apartment, en-suits. As for humanly possible to equally divide that which can be devided and as far as love and affection then that is not divisable and one will not be accountable.
