Person calling themselves a shia but not believing in shia beliefs

Question ID: 29808

Assalamu alaikum,
This question is about a person who I do not want to name,so lets call him “XYZ”.
XYZ claims to be a Shia. At the same time,he swears that he does not hold any of the Kufr beliefs which the Shias hold.He swears he is not doing taqia. He holds all the beliefs of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. He considers anyone who holds the kufr beliefs of the Shias,as kafirs. However,XYZ insists on calling himself a Shia. He says that if my beliefs are correct, then it does not matter if I call myself a Shia or a Sunni.
In this case, will XYZ be considered a Muslim or not?
If at present he is a kafir, then to enter Islam, does he have to stop calling himself a Shia?
if at present he is a Kafir, then does he have to read kalima to enter Islam?

He has to denounce saying he is a Shia. He will be classified a Shia as long as he says he is a Shia. He has to openly recite the Kalimah of us, Sunnis, then say that he is a Sunni then he will be regarded as a Sunni.
Why is he insisting himself as a Shia?
