Permissibiliy of using commerially slaugtered chickens

Assalamualaikum......
the use of commercially slaughtered chicken in SA (among the Muslim community) is so rife.........
what does one do if one is invited to another muslims home and is served chicken for a meal? (ask for the source,.. or eat it on the basis that it is the responsibility of the muslim host to serve halaal food)?

In this age, tell them on being invited that you do not eat those chickens, if they source from elsewhere, good, otherwise do not go and eat Haraam.
