Assallamualaikum We know that certain verses in the Quraan were abrogated by later revelations. Is it permissible for todays Ulema to abrogate an authentic hadith? In other words, no longer put it to practice.
Your first statement about Quraanic abrogation requires lengthy elucidation. Ulema cannot abrogate Sunnat practise which are based on authentic Ahadith. Also note in Ahadith science one has abrogations
