Permissibility of eating food that is stuck between ones teeth

Assalaamualaikum mufti saheb. Food that gets stuck between the teeth
which has been there 4 some time, or tiny particles of food which are
in the mouth, should it be eaten or not? What is sunnah or mustahab?
Please supply the proof if possible. JazakAllah
