Slmz. I plan on going for Haj with my wife Inshallah. This will be a First haj for both of us. I will be paying for her ticket. Somebody told me I must make her the owner of the money for the ticket. Is this correct? What is an easy way for me to do this? I have already paid the agent a significant deposit? I pay my accounts via EFT. Jazakumullah
Tell her that you have given her money for Hajj and does she allow you to be her agent in its dispensation. She will obviously say yes. Then spend on her behalf. Also as per 'Urf' common law practice if you are generally paying for all her expenses. e.g. Zakaat, Fitra etc. then even if you did not take her permission it is and will be permissible.
