Non muslims

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُم

Many times non Muslim people tell me their problems and ask me to make dua for them. I want to know can we make dua for them and how. At the moment after Fard Namaazs I make dua for the entire Ummah,family and friends.For the Non Muslims, I ask Allah Ta’ala to give them Hidayat, is this correct. Please advise. Jazakallah Ghair
