Assalam o alaikum,

Respected Mufti Saheb, I have 2 question to ask.

1) Is my brother’s son a mehram for brothers wife or non mehram? I mean if a brother’s son a mehram of his chachi or not? Can they chat and talk without fear of fitnah?

2) Is brother’s daughter a mehram of her father’s brother i.e. chacha? Please clarify.

1) Not Mahram; they cannot chat and talk.

2) Mahram.

Basically nieces and nephews related to you by blood are Mahram and those related to you by marriage are not Mahram.
