Kayla[pronounced as (C)up + pr(AY) + (LU)sh] is an Arabic word that means measurement container, a bowl or cup used for measuring and weighing things like grain and powder. It is an indirect Quranic word. Most Arabs don't use it as a name since it doesn't have a good meaning (even though the meaning isn't bad).

Kaylais also a popular Jewish/Israeli name and refers to Ethiopian Jews and their ancient language.

Samaarais an indirect Quranic name for girls that means one who converses under moonlight, girl with tan skin, color of a moonlit desert.Samaarais derived from the S-M-R root which is used in the Quran in verse 23:67:
