Mufti sahib, I pay zakaat yearly, Alhumdolillah. My relatives (Nephew & Niece of my mother are orphans), most of the zakaat is spent on their daily uses at home & studies etc. Since both of them are in their early teens, I decided to buy some gold from my Zakaat. So that it can be used at the time they get married. It is 10 Tollas in total. I informed their mother that I have bought the gold for them but decided to keep the gold with me.I fear the gold can be stolen from their home. (The gold is theirs, but I am keeping it safe for them)
If they are still eligible to receive Zakaat?
