Salaams Mufti.My question relates to Zakaat.
I have money saved for the performance of Haj this year Inshaallah. I have contracted with a travel agent for my accommodation etc. I have so far paid a deposit of approximately 25% of the amount. The conditions of the contract indicate that the money for the accomodation should be paid in by Ramadaan.
I normally calculate my Zakaat on the values at the 1st of Ramadaan.
Do I include this money paid over before Ramadaan to the agent in my calculation of Zakaat and if their is a balance for the airfare do I subtract this as a liability.
