Assalamu alaykum.
I would like to marry a Muslim girl; she is 16 years old.

If the laws of the local country forbid to marry when one is younger than 18 years old, will I have to obey this law and wait with my marriage until she is 18?
When saying “marriage” I mean Islamic marriage, namely nikah. I do not intend to do any secular marriage as I have a complete disregard for secularism and its institutions.
Please advise respected Mufti.

Marriage (Nikah) is permissible and will be valid and has no relation to the western law.
