Salaams Muftie. Would it be wrong if a walimah was not made and if both the girl and boys side are sharing the cost of the wedding will it still be neccessary for a walimah? and if the newly wed couple spend even 5 minutes alone just holding hands after the nikaah does this consumate the marriage? Jazaakallah.
