Keeping,feeding and bathing guard dog

please explain the laws pertaining to keeping a guard dog, what is permissible to do, and what is not permissible to do? May Allah reward you abundantly, Jazakallah

A guard dog can be kept. Feed it. Keep it clean. Attend to it when it is sick. Do not hit it.
