I chatted to an aalimah yesterday who informed me that her objection to the “tabligh” activity of going for jamaat for periods of time longer than 4 months was that there is divorce in the instance that a husband has not been with his wife for a period of more than 4 months. Is there an automatic divorce ?
Please provide an indication of what time frames are acceptable for men going on jamaat and what is the authority for this activity in islam as some men make a habit of going away for at least 4 – 6 months every year?
