Is Qurbaani Wajib on one if one has the Nisaab amount but it is not in ones possession

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. A person owns the Nisaab amount but it’s not in his possession, he loaned it to someone, he’s only going to receive payment after the days of Qurbani. Is Qurbani Wajib on him?
