Assalamalaykum mufti saheb. Im a single mother of 2,divorced.i teach at madrasa n receive basic salary.alhamdulila i manage 2 make ends meet.i dont have money over n above expenses nor do i own any jewelry or zakatble items-no nisab amt. Some1 recently asked me if i was eligible to receive zakat…1.am i elgble to receive zakat? 2.if a person is eligble to recve zakat,should he tell people this-people might think he is asking/begging? 3.if people give u zakat,are there any rules on how or what the money should b spent on?4. If a person has 35g gold ie. Less than nisab of gold,will she hav to pay zakat?
