Halqa zikr

respected Mufti sahib
. i have been following a certain aalim for ten years and we never engaged in any halqa zikr in the masjid.
now since this aalim has joined another aalim and obtained khilaafat he now engages in halqa zikr in the masjid and wants all of his followers to join in.another senior mufti in our area said its not permissible but my ustaad says the mufti is wrong.is halqa zikr haraam and could i stay away from my ustaads masjid and go to another as he is hell bent on implementing halqa zikr in our weekly routine.please advise as i am lost.jazakallahu khair for your wonderful website and assistance in deen.may Allah Ta`ala guide you.was salaam.

Respect the Ulema.We are clearly stating that to gather by calling for congregational loud Zikr in union is the Masjid is not proven. One should avoid.
Attend the Masjid do not participate in that activity. If you cannot then go to another Masjid. See site for more details - Search 'Zikr'
