I have a question regarding a job I have been offered. I live in Scotland and have been offered a job as an interpreter, so I would have to interpret for people whose first language is not English and who are unable to speak it and I would do this in hospitals etc. I would have to interpret for both men and women but I would not be alone with any of the women. It is very hard to get a completely halal job here, there is usually some haram element in most jobs and my Mum is really in need of the money. Is it okay for me to do this job? is it halal?
