Greeting another muslim

Assalaamualikum wa rahmattullahi wa barakaatuh

1. Can you please tell me the correct method of greeting another Muslims brother?

2. If one is sitting does one have to stand to greet the other person?

3. Is it permissible to hug the person as I have noticed it is three hugs two on the right side shoulder and one on the left side shoulder?

4. Does one have to extend one hands to greet the person?

1) Greet, shake hands using both hands, make Duaa for each other and enquire about each other.
2) Not necessary, if one elder comes one may stand.
3) Once is sufficient.
4) Good to do so.
