Going for a team event where alcohol is sold

As-salaamwaalikum Mufti, Please let me know if it is permissible to join the company i work for on a dinner. The place sells alcohol. I get my food from a halaal outlet and take it there not eating or using anything from the venue.
I adorn my khurta to work and regard going to such place not appropriate but they are insisting as it is a team event etc…

I do not go to such places at all under normal circumstances and i don’t want to go now.
