I have to pay Fidyah money in lieu of fasting.  Do I have to pay this money in cash or can I discharge a few food hampers which cost about R100-00 each?

If you give cash, it is better. If you give food hampers, it is permissable, it must reach the valid recipients, it must be un - cooked food in this case.
