is it permissible to feed pets (eg cat) food from a supermarket shelf that is produced for them such as cat chunks, cat tin food, etc?
Was told that we cannot feed them pet food as it does not contain halaal ingredients.
So I stopped for about a week and this cat would not eat home food that we feed her.
Please advice or provide alternative
