Fault in an article from the seller

Question

A person bought some cloth and he cut and sewed it or dyed it, or he bought some grain (flour) and he mixed it with fat (ghee), then he was made aware of a fault (in the cloth or flour) which came from the seller. What is the ruling?

He (buyer) should deduct the value of the fault. The seller cannot take back his goods (Kitaabul Buyoo).
