Asalamu alaikum,
Is it permissible to listen to the explanation of the Quran Majeed by Dr Israr Ahmed(late) of Pakistan?
Did he have any views or beliefs contrary to the Ahle Sunnah?
I did come across a fatwa issued by a Deobandi madrassa(Jamia Binoria) in Karachi which said that Dr Israr had deviant beliefs hence his lectures shoudl not be listened to.
