Experiencing heat and pain while making zikr

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh

When I was making Thikr yesterday of 100x “La Ila ha IllaAllah” in a whisper, my face started feeling extremely hot and warm, similar to a fever. When reciting Ayatul-kursi before going to sleep, this same feeling returned.

Then when making Thikr today, after several “La Ila ha IllaAllah”, in addition to my face, my hands started getting hot.

When I stop to take a breath, I add the “Muhamma dur Rasulullaah” then.

This warmth is only slightly uncomforting and irritating but remains for some time afterwards. I am also experiencing sudden pains in my forearm muscles that are quick, but continue occurring for some time after finishing my Thikr. Perhaps this is also related.

I have been eating more ‘hot’ foods recently, especially almonds, cashews and dates. I do not know if this may be the cause. I am not the mureed of a Shaykh.

(1) Hadhrat Mufti Saheb, please advise on what I should do in this situation. I am feeling slightly perturbed.

I am 19 years old, male, university student.

Jazakallah Khair.

Stop eating 'hot' foods. Take 'Bayt' to a reliable, pious, knowledgeable, Allaah-fearing, and practical Sheikh.
