Discharging of Zakaat and commissions taken thereon

Asalaam o Alaikom.
Is it permissible to take/pay a commission from Zakaat collected.
When someone pays,for example,R1000 zakaat to a collector or agent who is receipting the full amount but earns a percentage of that amount as commission.How does this affect the giver of the zakaat.
