Contraceptives

Assalamu alaikum,
Respected Mufti Sahab, I want to know can a man use contraceptive. I mean temporary one.
Like condoms etc. Can a women also use temporary contraceptive. This is just for safety purpose. Alhamdulillah a couple has children but does not want anymore right now but they want to enjoy their marriage life. So for this purpose can they use temporary contraceptive or not. What does shariat say about this. Is it haram to use or what?
