Clarity on a previous question

Question ID: 26286

Asslam o alaikum,

Respected Mufti Saheb, I want some clarification regarding Qstn no. 5659 answered on 9th july 2010 by you. In the 3rd question it was asked,
QSTN : If your non muslim neighbour who owns a liquor store gives you fruit what should you do with it? can it be consumed or should it be given away?

The answer given was “YES”. Can be consumed.

Here I want to ask that the person knows that the neighbour has liquor shop. So that means he also knows that the earning of his neighbour is from a haram source. So how can one eat the fruits given by this neighbour as it might have been bought from the haram money by selling liquor?
This is confusing me. Please if you could elaborate a little and explain us to avoid confusion.

Maaf for pin pointing on the answers or mistakes. But this is not to degarde anyone but for my knowledge.
As you know much more than I do. You are an ocean of ILM given by Allah and I am just a dust compared to your knowledge and Ilm.

Jazzak Allah!

As you state: 'might have been bought'. 'Might' is a mighty word. If that same person buys something from you, would you charge him or give it to him for free?
