Question ID: 25906

salaams to you brother.

PLEASE dont get me wrong on this issue. I just want to do what is right.
I’m a South African, but I have been living overseas for the past six years and I havent visited my family or home country ever since, I’m coming on a vacation soon but I’ve been reading and following your site on the chicken issue and rainbow, goldi etc etc etc….the problem with sanha etc.

respected mufti like I said dont get me wrong, but I dont want my family to consume what is not supposed to be consumed. I’m VERY confused now, because when I left South Africa years ago things were fine and one could eat from these outlets, but now things have changed, in question 2246,2229,2209, the brother asked if rainbow chickens can be consumed, the answer is “it is Halaal”.
my brother in islam,I ask this question with great confusion please do not get annoyed by my question, please give me an answere and I will not trouble you again on this issue..

can I eat this chicken when I’m in South Africa or not?
thank you
. salaams

At one stage due to our ignorance and not proper investigation are regarded those chickens as Halaal but now definitely without a shadow of doubt we are clearly stating that those chickens which slaughtered in such huge numbers per minute cannot be Halaal. It is humanly impossible to recite the Tasmiyyah on these chickens.
