Deen of Islaam is complete, easy, and simple. A deen for all, for everyone, everywhere. Now if it stipulated birthday parties as part of Deen, can you imagine the inconvenience, the cost factor, the difficulties on the poor etc. In fact we have narrations of Sahabah (R.A), companions of Nabi (S.A.W) who, when they remembered their birthdays, began to weep and cry, thinking and pondering over the bygone days. If we look at our lives, and how we have performed then we should shed tears of blood. Yes,
birthday parties are not allowed in Islaam. Furthermore, look at so many illegal activities that take place therein, photography, inter-mingling of sexes, consuming of alcohol, dancing, missing of Salaat, going into debt, fighting and quarelling, becomes the result towards the night , each one making a party bigger and more sinful than the next - Islaam does not allow such vain, futile, wasteful activities.
