Being called ‘daughter in law” instead of by name

slmz mufti. im newly married and the daughter-in-law in the family.the problem is nobody calls me by my name.everyone calls me “daughter-in-law” and i find it to be very irritating.
i dont know how to tell them not to call me that and i dont want to seem disrespectful because they are elders.
please tell me what i must do.

Get used to it. At a later stage you must explain your stance. It is a form of respect not dishonouring in nature. It could be customary. Do not take it seriously.
