Beards and moustaches of Nabi AS and the sahaba

As salaamu alaykum. i would like to know if Nabi alayhi salaam and the majority of senior (blessed) companions wore their beards moustache less ? . i mean like obviously all the time .

All Sahabah (R.A.) had fist length beards and trimmed the mustaches. The obvious is not always recorded.
