Assalaamu Alaykum
Respected Mufti , kindly assist me with the following:
I purchased a property from the bank which was repossessed and it was advertised as a furnished apartment.
After purchasing I found a lot of movable furniture and some personal belongings of the previous owner and apparently the apartment was attached due to no payments.
Please advise from the Shariah perspective what happens to all the personal belongings etc of the previous owners?
It’s with me for the past 7 months and I am now getting irritated as it is in my way!
I have tried contact the previous owner – who has now moved to JHB- but to no avail.
Please advise promptly.
