Asking someone for help and shirk

Question ID: 26782

Assalam o alaikum,
Respected Mufti Sahab, I want some clarification regarding belief. Sir I had given my bio-data to a person who asked me for it for getting me a job somewhere. I did not give him instead he asked for it. So I gave him. Now its been some months he has not responded but he meets me occasionally. So I was thinking of asking him what happened to my bio-data which I gave for a job. Can I ask this for getting a job or will this be a SHIRK to ask someone for help for your need. As I have heard that even if you require even a shoe lace you ask from Allah Subhana o T’wala. . Though I know my Iman is not so strong or of that standard that even if I require a shoe lace I will ask Allah! Instead I will head towards the market to buy one. What do I do in this case

2. I had also asked a person to see if he has any contacts in any firm or office where he can refer me to join for job. Have I committed shirk.

I am very much worried about this. Though I pray namaz five times a day but not all the namaz with jamat but three to four times I pray my namaz with jamat and I miss one or two times with jamat especially the fajir namaz but makes Qaza and read it alone. Very rarely my namazes get Qaza.

Please sort out my confusion from your Ilm and experience and advise me.

Jazzak Allah!

1) It is absolutely permissible to ask for a job. To ask what happened to one's application is not Shirk.

2) No.

3) Become regular in Salaat. Stay in the company of the pious.
