Asking for compensation in a partnership

Question ID: 25772

Assalamo alaikum

I am asked the following:

There are 5 brothers who have equal share holding in a company they own.

One brother had worked his share over the years and also took on the work to build the various buildings for the said brothers without additional payments.

The time has come for the dissolution of all their assets.

In terms of Shariah ruling, can the brother who did the work for the various buildings now ask for compensation?

Please reply urgently

No. He should have asked for wages etc. at the time of contraction. If, however, he may request if the parties give, that will be good and rewarding.
