Singing happy birthday

Is it permissible to sing happy birthday for him or would it be better to get a learned person to make a dua instead there will be no cameras and taking of pictures involved, there will be a birthday cake with candles as he is small and has witnessed his sister having such a birthday party and is now feeling as he has to have the same?
