I am a revert to islam. I am married for 3 years already. my mother and family are non-muslim but have accepted my faith. my husband refuses for me to visit my family or even see them, i.e. my aunts and uncles. he only allows me to go for a while to my mother. is he allowed to do this? he says what he is doing is Islamic. my family do not understand, its as if I am breaking family ties. please advise? He should allow you once a week if they are nearby. He can stop you if he has valid Shaari reasons. On his instructions you would NOT be breaking family ties.
