Massallah pertaining to buying dog food from a non Muslim butcher

Can I buy bone meal to feed my dog from a non Muslim butcher (Checkers Shoprite)?
Muslim butchers who throw it away and give for free ask you to come closing time and it’s not easy to drive for this especially, or some of the staff keep it for their connections. Another Muslim butcher near to my home in Westville North charges R10 kilo where as the non Muslim butcher charge R2 kilo.
